Jovana & Julius
We’re getting married!
Join us for a few days of celebration and love between August 22nd and 25th in Belgrade, Serbia.
Our Story
Julius and Jovana met at a neighborhood Italian restaurant Julius often passed on his walk home from work. One evening while having dinner at the bar, he noticed an unfamiliar pair of eyes across the room, resting above a black COVID mask. What followed was a herculean effort called “The Unmasking” that required numerous trips back to the bar, suggestive talk, and lots of patience and persistence. Jovana’s smile filled the room and Julius’ heart with joy. He mustered the courage to ask her on a date planned two days before Christmas, during which she gave him COVID and managed to sequester him from the rest of his family for the holidays (smart lady). They spent their first of many Christmases together over chicken soup and bad horror films, which Julius and Jovana enjoyed, respectively.

Summer Festive Attire
We’re hoping for a late summer breeze off the Danube and highs in the 70s and low 80s. Wear whatever makes you comfortable—there is no need to sweat this one out. For example, flowing and light summer dresses, short sleeve shirts, and a lack of jackets and ties will go nicely for the occasion.

Travel Considerations
The wedding venue is located in the Belgrade Fortress and Kalemegdan Park, just across the street from the city center’s walking-only district. All of the suggested hotels are close by, with the exception of the Hyatt. Taxis are easy to find for guests who opt for the Hyatt.
Breakfast is included in the Mama Shelter, Envoy, and Museum hotel rates. Discount codes will be sent to RSVP-confirmed guests in mid-late February.
Discount codes will likely expire in early June. They do not guarantee reserved rooms—they only offer discounts on available rooms. It’s recommended to book airfare and rooms as soon as possible, or by April-May for the best pricing and availability. Our wedding weekend is during Begrade’s peak travel season.
